Wendy is an award winning artist and lifelong resident of Michigan City. After graduating from The American Academy of Art in Chicago, Wendy worked as a graphic artist and illustrator as well as fine art painter of portraits. Now she specializes in paintings of the Dunes, Beach / Lake Michigan scenes, Lighthouses, Woods and Wetlands. Her paintings come alive with vibrant color, texture and depth because of her technique: first she does a painting in water color and then adds many layers or color and details with soft pastels and colored pencils. Wendy's art prints are printed using digital imageing on premium archival acid free Matte paper, with high quality Light-Fast inks, which achieves long lasting, fade resistant prints.She uses the same paper for her originals. In the fast paced, high tech world we live in, it is important to stay spiritually grounded in God%019s wonderfully created natural surroundings.
